An oriental path to liking Klimt

I suspect that this awkward anime series is increasing my liking for Gustav Klimt paintings:


The reason: the nouvelle way of using 2D rich textures applied directly over the characters garments and in some cases skin. Another point of interest in this series, Gankutsuou: The Count of Montecristo, is the classical soundtrack and some of the neo-gothic settings.
