Uma voz fantasma cobriu a noite de Lisboa

- Vai uma adivinha? De quem é esta voz?


- A senhora chama-se Laeticia não é?
- Muito bem! E que mais?
- Diz que espera lançar disco a solo lá para Agosto.
- Pois é, e não te faz lembrar nenhuma banda, nenhuma sonoridade...
- Agora que o dizes... já a ouvi antes, tenho a certeza! Não me dás uma pista?
- Olha, uma sonoridade muito próxima daqui, daquelas em que diriam "Refractions in the plastic..." ui, está a escaldar...
- Ahh!! Não me digas, ela é a voz dos Stereolab?
- Nem mais!
- Eh lá!

Bom, este foi um daqueles concertos que se descobrem de manhã, se decide ir a meio da tarde, se reserva o bilhete ao fim e, com tão pouco tempo para reagir, se acaba por ter uma excelente surpresa.

Curtinho, calminho, trouxe um roll de músicas novas da Laeticia, sem estar demasiado presa a projectos anteriores mas também, para aquele nosso gozo saudosista, sem os enterrar propositadamente.

E foi assim que a cantora da música que deu nome a este blog fez uma curta visita a Lisboa, em que nos perguntou se tínhamos um rio, se éramos uma cidade grande, agradeceu todo o material de que dispunham visto que fora emprestado e disse que não sabia como tocar nenhuma das músicas dos Stereolab.

Ficou uma excelente apresentação das composições a solo por uma Laeticia algo tímida, um pouco marcada por eventos relativamente recentes e sem estar certa do que vem no seu futuro. Mas uma coisa é certa, no futura desta senhora vai lá estar a sua voz inconfundível e muitas melodias inigualáveis.

(13º) Super Bock Super Rock 2007

I've just come back from the 3rd day of the festival. Tonight I left LCD Soundsystem after 4 songs, they weren't bad, not at all, a little bit repetitive maybe. But I'm really tired.

I really loved Magic Numbers yesterday and Maximo Park today. I think Maximo Park gave the best concert 'till now, really eclectic. Now the Magic Numbers were a really good surprise, a really good sound with just the right compositions and lyrics.
I didn't enjoy Klaxons or Bloc Party, the sound quality was below average and there wasn't much good vibes to their music. Some songs, better known, got a few movements and cheers but that was all.
The Portuguese bands of these 2 days have also provided excellent surprises. I knew only one: The Gift - try to listen to them online and they were also one of the best bands on stage.

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah provided the worst surprise of today... Too weird a voice, sounded really like a rodeo announcing voice or something. Their presence on stage is bad too. I expected a lot from them...
Well I wish I stayed longer for LCD because their concert was being a good one 'till I left.

Tomorrow I'll listen to The Gossip, TV On the Radio, Scissor Sisters, Interpol and Underworld + 2 good Portuguese bands (Micro-audio waves and X-Wife). I'll let you know how it went :D
