The first movie from Goro I was able to enjoy

After a deception with "Tales from Earthsea", the rich "From up on Poppy Hill" was a great surprise.
This title takes place in a port city of 1964 Japan. The details from this time are impressive, from buildings to ships, clothing and, most of all, the winds of change moving the large number of characters in this film.
Many things are atypical for a Ghibli movie. There are no secret worlds, no heroes or monsters, no alternative realities. The storyline is simple yet compelling and immersive.
Altought this film presents many details of the Japan of the time it kind of reminded me of some Hollywood pieces set in boarding schools.
A title not to miss and a hope for a promising future for Goro Miyazaki.

Kate Bollinger - A great surprise

Surprisingly refreshing for a wickedly strange 2021:

By the way, found this on Jango Hot Indie Hits (no I don't do the other green thingy everyone listens to, and I'm glad).

Ora aqui está 1 boa explicação para a origem do movimento trance:
“Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music" ~ Kristian Wilson, Nintendo Inc, 1989

A great way for encouraging music initiation. Bringing basic concept like rhythm, notes and key nearer to young child's perspectives.

Omoide no Marnie

A rainy afternoon with Diana, very emotional.
